These photos tell the story of my journey with pottery: from the excited kindergartener making her very first clay fish to the person I am today, working out of the pottery studio my husband and I built together. There’s something about working with clay that just makes me happy, and sometimes even giddy. I love everything about transforming a simple chunk of earth into something beautiful that can be shared with others. Whether I’m creating a custom piece for someone special or watching someone choose a piece at a market and carry it away like a small treasure, it truly warms my heart. Every piece I make is shaped with those moments in mind, always asking myself how I can do my very best work and create something with intention that brings joy and beauty into someone’s life.

Why the name SaffMo?

We have two incredible studio pups, Saffi and Mo. Whether they are fending off a threatening squirrel or keeping me company on a late night in the shop, it only seemed natural to name the studio after them!
